Gil Rosenthal

I started coding in 6th grade making Minecraft mods, and haven’t stopped since! I have experience across all levels of Software Development, from low-level C to functional programming in Haskell to Machine Learning with Transformers, to systems automation in Python.

I pride myself on my ability to pick up a new language or technology quickly and make significant contributions to projects from the first day. I love learning new things! In my free time, I love taking my dog on walks in the woods around my house, building LEGOs, and taking things apart.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Chicago with a BS and MS in Computer Science, and am currently an Associate at PDT Partners in New York. For my Master’s Thesis, I conducted research on Latin to English Automated Machine Translation, and established a new State of the Art performance beating Google Translate.
